As someone who played the crap out of Wild World, I both agree and disagree that it was dull. Disagree because I loved finding the little soap opera moments and it was the only game that my school would let me play during lunch and break periods.
Agree because I knew zero people that also had it and after a while you can get bored of the town.
The game itself was fine as it was a slightly updated version of the Gamecube game which was great. However I had played the original to death so having to do the same thing again did not interest me. But that’s how I play games like that, I obsess over them until I get sick of it then need a long break. It’s why I can only get invested in every few pokemon games and what not.
