Being a Yoshi fan can be a challenge sometimes. On one hand you’ve got one of the BEST GAMES EVER MADE, and then you get a slow drip of… well, I’d want to say hits and misses, but it’s really mostly misses. The only exception has been Woolly World, which brings the count of good Yoshi games up to 2.
I’m not sure what they’re even doing with Yoshi any more, and I’m not sure they know either. So each new game announcement has to be approached with caution. Will this one be any good? It is a pretty unusual concept. But it sure LOOKS nice…
I still have many memories as a kid of reading Nintendo Powers, getting so excited for Yoshi’s Story after the masterpiece that was Yoshi’s Island. If only I knew it would be downhill from then-on.
