Hmm. There’s gotta be something in-between, right?

You might think so, but imho, don’t.
The cheapo are minimalistic but function and there primary selling point is cheap.
Then you have the expensive who have a lot of features and are sturdy.

And in the middle are the one’s, which boils down to a fight between the competition and the tools are functions and looks. So many functions you might never use and they all add production to cost, but eventually you get the same result in heating as a cheap version. Also looks, but that totally depends on your aesthetics.
I don’t mind looks so i go industrial.
