I hope that is a PostMix BIB (Bag-In-Box) system. But i feel it is Pre-Mix as Phil mentions CO2.. I would just cut all Power, As i think that it should shut all valves at a power loss. But i only seen PostMix systems.

With our PostMix it used to be that the Lipton Ice-Tea coupling could be pulled out of the bag (fixed now). So i have seen a few times that the area at the back being sticky as heck because some one dropped a 20liter cola box on the edge of the Ice-Tea box just wrong and Sploosh. And you can’t re-plug it, lucky Ice-Tea was only 5Liter boxes. Best thing to do is just dump hot water over it and a floor squeegee..

The only ones I’ve seen are BIB with CO2 added somewhere along the line. Luckily they also had a cut off valve so you could turn off the CO2 if there was a leak. Even though CO2 is dangerous, in the moment you really wonder which leak is worse.

Many MANY years ago I saw one explode and the person working with it was pretty much Phil here. He even said how it was a nightmare he’d always had when working with them. At least it would someday inspire a comic!

Sounds like Pre-Mix, i have heard of them but never seen them. (They have a reputation of being worse then PostMix)
PostMix has C02 added to water and then both the cooled Carbonated water and Syrup lines run to the counters where it gets mixed on the spot.
Normally the only time you have to deal with CO2 is when you are still using 10kg cylinders. But most restaurants i visit (at the back), have a 400kg tank that lasts them a month or more.
Worst nightmares of those systems that i have witnessed was when the air pump failed and then they switched over on CO2 and then ran out, because they never called a technician to actually fix the air pump. That was on a sunday morning.. Worse i heard about was a CO2 leak where they had to evacuate..

But you are right, when something happens to them, you are either going into a pain or you better call service fast..
