I just own all my music and listen to it all in alphabetical order.

I suppose if I added up how much I’ve paid spotify over the many years it would’ve been cheaper to just buy the albums I listen to the most. But I do enjoy the convenience of having everything in one easy program and the ability to go “oh what song was that oh wait I can listen to it right now”

I mean my favorite band is also a super-obscure Tasmanian band that wasn’t even on spotify until they started making music again last year, literally couldn’t listen to their stuff anywhere but my own devices.

Me for having a dislike of ‘albums’ play, since i pick my music on a individual song basis. And i annoy people who are of the ‘This band is the best’ type..
I tend to just pick random and if i like it i add it to a dated playlist.. So when i don’t want to explore for new songs i just go to my playlist and select e.g. ‘2018 august’ and play that..

I grew up on cassette tapes so I’m still partial to listening to whole albums start to finish. At least the good ones. Luckily all my top favorite bands have solid albums I can do that with. The “classic” ones with dozens of albums I usually turn to their “best of” section.

What are these “cassette tapes” of which you speak? 😉

Relics of the past.. I to grew up with them, but i never Owned any of my own, my parents where the owners and selectors of music.
Even in the CD age i only owned a few i picked myself due to that i rather spend my darn money on something else..
Now, once the dastardly option of Napster and alike opened up, i started to gather all sorts of music, but not albums, just individual songs..
And i kept that up until another dastardly option made me cave in to actually paying, Grooveshark (rip). But these days i have no option at all and i just darn youpuke search for songs i want to listen to or i just listen to real life silence..
