Mel is like the DM in a D&D campaign. Likes to threaten a party wipe, but will never do it because then he can’t lord the possibility of it over his players.
That or he is incapable of destroying happiness, as you need to understand your target before you can completely destroy it.
Harassing it however is a totally different story. And as we see here again, he Loves to do that.
