“Perfect! Absolutely perfect in every way!”
Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the best movies I’ve seen in years. It’s a two hour chase seen with action scenes so beautifully real and visually understandable it puts other action movies to shame. It made me like Avengers: Ultron less and made me less excited for the new Jurassic Park, because both of their “action scenes” are (and will probably be) shaky cam with rapid quick cuts and lots of computer graphics to try and trick you into thinking that a fight is happening. It’s hard to describe, but there’s weight to the action and it’s framed so well. The action felt real in a way I haven’t seen in a long, long time. Add in some amazing characters and you have a fantastic movie. As for the rest of you bloated Hollywood films trying to appeal to the broadest audiences by making it easy and mindless to make the most money – this is how you’re supposed to do it, so please take note.
