SOME stores . . you know who you are . . immediately yank their Halloween candy off the shelves instead of marking them down. Why? Do they save ’em for next year??
Not enough shelve space, so they want to put up more christmass stock that has higher margin then discounted Candy.
They consider writing and disposing of that candy a acceptable loss..
Some, *some* shops dispose of them socially by donation, as one of our local shops does that to our food bank. Others just send it to the shredders :(..
Hmm, that makes sense – comes down to them making more money.
Hate to think of perfectly good candy going to the shredders!
