Oh, yeah I suppose this was a thing too. Valve getting strongarmed by the hardware manufacturers to the point they can’t be competitive with the current system is an issue, this hobby is starting to price out the average user. I just recently upgraded from AM4 to AM5 thanks to a huge sale MicroCenter had on a full CPU+RAM+Mobo bundle and it was almost $700 and a three hour drive up to the closest one in Ohio, and since I got it said bundle has gone up another $100. Friend of mine is building his first PC, and if I didn’t have my old parts to sell to him on the cheap he couldn’t have gotten in for his price range.
