Traditionally four days before Easter is Maundy Thursday. There are jokes riffing on how it sounds like Monday Thursday, which is what Doug is trying to do here. The real joke is that Doug’s pun is way too complicated, but by that time your brain hurts from trying to figure out Doug. This is a common problem.
